Then, when you need to know where you are and either mark a way point, overlook etc you just turn the airplane mode off and then use the gps feature on the phone in conjunction with the cached maps. Saves the battery in a big way! You could run it constantly but let's be honest, you'll only need to look at it periodically. ERIK
