Where to shoot in Kitsap or Mason
« on: February 27, 2016, 07:39:09 AM »
I am wondering with the Kitsap Rifle and revolver closed, Poulsbo Sportsman's overcrowded, all DNR land posted no target shooting where does someone who is trying not to break the law go to shoot?

Do you have any friends that live in the country? I shoot in my backyard!

Not so much, need 5 or more acres and most are under that.

I head over the hood canal now and go to a few spots on DNR land out that way. Quite a trip though and I usually only get to head out there 5-6 times a year now.

Had a membership to Gig Harbor Sportsman Club for a number of years...not ideal but worked great for the kids and I.

I've never seen signs for no target practice in Tahuya State Forest.

It will happen soon I am sure. The Capitol State Forest is signed more and more every year

You can't use any caliber 30 and over.  No 30-30, 308, 30-06 45 acp, 9mm, 380, etc.  You can, however, shoot 7mm rem magnum, 270, 280,  243, 260, 223, etc. Doesn't make any any sense.
