Haha that is funny! Yes I am talking about the leupold vx-3 4.5-14x40. What would be better a 40 or a 50 though? I don't know a whole lot about scopes yet!

40 or 50 in quality glass seems to be a personal preference.  My cheek weld preference and my stock preference usually have me shooting mid-height scope rings on Leupold bases.  So in most circumstances I can not use a 50 without interference.   But I have shot friends Weatherby's and the 50 is really nice on those.  I'd likely have a few if I had guns that fit me well when using them.
