The 2007 season was my first year bow hunting elk. Had such a great hunt that I will never hunt them with a rifle again. We were on elk everyday on the mountian. I got lucky and got a 50 yard shot on this bull. He went 80 yards from there and crashed. During the 2008 season I took the 3 point opening morning. Had him at 19 yards and he went 50 feet. I watched him go down. It all happened pretty quick. I do feel that any animal taken with a bow is a trophy.

I was a little pissed with the 3 point because I just got off the phone with the timber company. USUALLY they will come open the gate and you can drive in and get your animal out. Not this time. We had a 2 mile pack, up hill with no game cart or pack frames. that was a lesson learned. It was 95 out when we got back to the truck. But over all, what a great hunt.

The moose scored zero and the buck was somewhat higher than that ;) Actually I have never had it officially scored, it just sits in a pile on the floor of the garage. :dunno:
