Well it's bear and you had a bear tag congrats, my first bear was small and I did a shoulder mount and it looks good.

Congrats. My first bear was around 120lbs or so. Pretty much any bear in the spring is good. The sows with the little cubs are the no go's for me. Unless they are going to mob me. Which was close on my last spring bear hunt. They are to little to make it on there own.

Nothing wrong with that bear....thanks for posting.  My first was a small bear too so I did a full mount and it is awesome!!

Congratulations on the bear.  I definitely shot my Monroe bear based on the thought process of "its a bear, its standing broadside, its in range, boom, I wonder how big it is."
