From a gas gun or a bolt action? :dunno:

According to "the internets" it's ideal for young, in-experienced shooters as long as it's in a bolt action. I think it's the minimalist nature of the caliber that makes it perfect for new shooters who are most likely to make marginal hits. If a grown man shoots it he's either injured or unethical.

In a gas gun it's commonly recognized as unethical and typically promoted by individuals who are prone to taking pot shots and dumping an entire mag on animals at unethical ranges.

I could be wrong on alll of that though. I used Bing for my search instead of the more widely accepted Google.  :chuckle:

That's a good start but your explanation needs to be at least quadrupled in length.

Inside 50 yards with non aware animal then I would say yes..  If they are wearing their armor which I heard the North American animals have now days I would say it is not adequate..

Need proof or it didn't happen...  Just hope it was inside 100 yards or you aren't a real hunter..

How did you ever do that!!??  Mud have been only luck because nobody (not even match shooters) can dope the wind well enough to actually make a 243 kill! Bolt or gas gun...

I'm super torn though.  Although I love to be unethical with my .243, with the new custom getting done, its gonna be hard not to use it in Wyoming this year for antelope.  Choices choices choices
