I've never heard a bad thing about Zen Ray Optics. There was a time when a lot of huntwa members bought glass from Charles.

I had both the ED3 and still have a set of zen Ray Prime's.  I like them very much, I only upgraded to one of the big 3, otherwise I would still be using them.  Holding onto them for kids utilization in the future

Very happy with Zen.  Upgraded to some of that German stuff is all.   As already pointed out, Charles was fantastic to do business with.

Love my ED3's. Definitely best glass for the money in my opinion.

It's also a very community-minded company. When my little neighbor first started shooting archery with me over 4 years ago, ZenRay stepped up and donated a pair of binos to him. Charles is a real stand-up guy, their rep on this forum. His handle is zrs-8x42.

I have ZR as my "B" binos, they are very close to my Vanguard ED's.  While not quite as "crisp", I feel the depth of field might be a little better.  Upgrade would be a big jump in price, and could do a lot worse.

I really like mine. I would like to see if they offer any free conditioning. My focus knob turns tough in cold weather. Anyone else notice that? Maybe needs new grease :dunno:
Great glass though!

I demo'ed a pair of ED3s in the field in low light. On par with my Nikon monarchs for sure if not a tad better. Definitely more impressed with it than Vanguard or Vortex, both of which I have also sampled in the field.

ZenRay's warranty is unconditional. If you're having a problem, call them with your problem and if it's something they can fix, they'll tell you how to send them in for free repair.

Same here...have the ED2's....very pleased.  Bought the ED3's for my daughter.  Great glass....you will not be disappointed for the cost.
