I agree with Carbide. Spend a little more for a Kidd , Volquartsen or have Brimstone rework your existing.

Looks like there's a few options. I kind of like the $40 option, but the $80 option is really interesting with upgraded parts. I just bought a VQ target hammer kit and am thinking about trying that myself. I've got 2 rifles and a charger, so doing 1 DIY for an experiment is something I'd like to at least try.
Volquartzen target hammer with bushings. $30-40 and 15 minutes of your time. Smooth 2-3 lb pull.
