Drew 181.  Now to figure out whether to make the trip over there since access is somewhat limited.

Anyone ever hunted that unit?  Biologist said that the unit is private except for a few wildlife areas.

Hunted Deer and Elk there many times....its almost all private.  I would start knocking on doors.  In general they don't like coasties or city slickers from spokevegas

Plenty of bears to look at.  Access will be much easier than the higher units.  I wouldn't start burning gas until the last week in April, at the earliest.
Don't let the "all private" scare you.  There is accessible land in the unit.
I'll PM you some solid ideas.

Hey, thanks.  I'd appreciate any input.  I saw the three wildlife areas and the higher ground next to the nat'l forest.  Certainly don't want to trespass so I'll be looking for some way to verify accessible land.

So just out of my own curiosity, why put in for a hunt that you don't think you'll go on?

I would go just to get out of the house and be in the blues during spring. It's pretty hard to beat

This was my 4th choice and didn't think I'd draw.  I wanted some place far away from here.  I didn't research the unit well enough to understand that much of the land is private, that's my bad.

No worries. I'm pretty sure that my brother drew that tag a few years back. I'd say get in touch with him, but he would be reluctant to tell me where he went. Good luck
