I compete with the sensation. I have a hunting partner that hunts with it. I personally prefer the locking jaw type. You can load it and let go. That being said. The sensation is a very smooth quiet release. It performs well and depending on your ability to make a change would perform very well for you. Do you ever get over to my side of the pond. I have a Genesis bow with a safe draw that will allow you to test a couple dozen releases without shooting the wall..

If you are looking at the index finger style of the Sensation, but you don't want to look at the D-Loop why wouldn't you be looking at the Whisper?

I am hoping that Carter will some day make the Insatiable with the same open hook and stealth of the Whisper.  I love holding on to the Insatiable.  Not sure there is another release out there that feels that good at full draw!  Unless maybe the Insatiable 2 :chuckle:

It looks like you can attach the Sensation with the jaw locked but I can't tell for sure. The Whisper has the open hook so I don't have to open and close the release over the D-loop. I know there's not going to be anything quite as fast and easy as something like my Wise Guy in a thumb release where it's a simple, nock the arrow, push the trigger forward, run my thumb up the string till I hit the D-loop, put the hook in and draw. But I'd like to get as close as possible.

The easiest way to put it is that I'm looking for a thumb release that I can operate as easily as possible by touch alone. When I'm hunting I'm always on the ground and calling by myself, I want to be able to keep my eyes on the animal coming in the entire time so I know when to freeze and not have any head or hand movement. I know there's a lot of releases you can just hook on the loop and leave there but that's not a habit I want to start, so with those requirements it leaves me just a few releases to look at.

The sensation has an open jaw. It does work well. The too simple and simple one closes on the string with the cocking mechanism. A lot like the chocolate addiction did. The are crisp as well .

I wish I'd make it over there some what regularly sometimes, it'd make life easier in the archery stuff. Not much selection on this side of the mountains. As is, I haven't been through the Seattle/Puget sound area since I was about 12 and that's was around 18 years ago.

If you decide on a release I would be happy to sell it to you. I can have shipped directly to you.
