Opening weekend near Colville
« on: March 22, 2016, 03:37:43 PM »
Just curious of how busy it will be on the opening weekend? Never hunted the area before and would just like to know if I'll be fighting the crowd.

Yes it's the most popular turkey hunting destination in the state lol but for good reason.

Many of the roads that were gated and locked last deer season remain locked at this point......not sure why, but it doesnt look good.  Plenty of birds getting crazy right now......lots of gobbling.

I'll be there the week prior to scout. I've got a few places in mind. Are you talking about the gates to the state land in the area?

I'll be there on the youth opener and the adult opener.  Trying to get my son his first.  Hoping the public land holds birds.  I've seen them in the fall but am unsure in the spring.  Can't wait, he's been practicing with his youth Mossberg in 20g.

With gas prices and the opener on a weekend I would expect to make a few friends.
