Update: No update done by the good folks at WDFW for more than two weeks.  :chuckle:

Actually, looks like they updated about an hour ago.

So we've reached the 2015 total sales mark and still have a month and a half to go.  My guess is this easily gets to the 2014 mark and maybe higher.  Looking forward to what total sales are and if this tactic works in your favor Bushcraft.  I hope it works out in your favor.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

I heard a few black goats have been spotted in one of the northern most units.
Very rare.
Good luck.

Thanks Rainier10,

Hmmm, that could become an expensive donation to WDFW. :dunno: In the meantime all my appendages are getting tired of being crossed all the time.   :chuckle:

Quite frankly, it's absurd that WDFW does both the permit and raffle draws so late in the year.  If people are going to buy a special permit ticket and/or one or more raffle tag tickets, they are going to do so whether it's in January or July.  Let's get it on already so we can all lock in plans for the rapidly approaching Fall hunting season.

Regards,

Allen

Could an odd or disreputable member of a goat family call himself the "black sheep" of the flock?

There's no way the ticket sales are accurate.  Those are the final numbers from last year, in every category.  Do you know the odds of that occurring?  Something is not right on the webpage.

Excellent catch Ridgerunner.

Not only were they late updating the figures by two weeks, they posted the wrong figures. Your and my license, tag and tax dollars at work ladies and gentlemen.

Does it really matter now? I guess it really matters at the end, but with a couple months left, how important is it to know now?

I think it's important to know.

Perfect example.  I was looking at them yesterday.  The SE option had 222 permits sold so far.  While I've never purchased a ticket, I was tempted.  If that number is 2000, I'm out.   :twocents:

Punch in the winning numbers from last year and see how many other tickets the winners bought.  One guy bought one ticket and won.  Another bought ten per category and won.  ""Flooding" the market doesn't always work.  It does help increase odds but in the end they are still "odds".

Apparently I've been runner up three times.  What do you think the odds are for that? :chuckle:  Buying more just makes me a first place loser!
