Browning Superposed too tight?

I just received a 1969 Browning Superposed lighting.  History behind it:  My dad shoot doubles trap competitively in the 1970's-80's.  In 1989 he sent the gun back to the factory and it was completely redone.  He put it in his safe and very shot it again.  Randomly last weekend my dad being on the backend of life told me to take it and enjoy it when he was still alive.  The gun is super tight and mechanically factory new.  I took it apart removed the cold grease and lube from 25 years ago and put new lube and gun grease at pivot points.  Tang release slightly to the right the way it should be.

When to the trap club yesterday.  Shot a round of doubles (50 shells).  No problem.  My son shot a round of skeet (25 shells) no problem.  I was started shooting a round of singles and got to shot 10 put a fresh shell in action would not lock up.  (it was a reload so I dumped it from a fresh shell) 2nd shell in gun would not lock up.  I stop at this point and take the gun apart, nothing appears wrong.  Reassemble and gun locks up and shots again.

Any Ideas.......Any?  Could it be there is still old grease that has hardened? Just dumb luck with 2 reloads?  My BT99 eats all my reloads and the shells looked fine.  Does it just need to be "broken in"  I don't know I'm all ears.

Any chance that a piece of shot got in the hinge point and fell out when you dissasembled it?  I had that happen once before and had the same problem locking up. It was very hard to see the piece of led once it had been crushed. Got it out and worked fine after that.

Thanks TV!  That's a good call with the reloads, and something that never crossed my mind. That's why I posted, and why I like this site.  People here actually go outside.  I was outside on a bench when I broke it down so I am not sure if a piece of shot fell out.  I will break it down tonight and double check everything again
