After talking with the custom scope rep at Leupold yesterday, I've decided to go with the custom dial system instead of the BDC reticle. It actually costs less, and should I decide to change guns/loads/calibers down the road, I can send in the new load information and they'll send me a new dial. This will give me one crosshair to deal with, and a quick turn of the dial if I have time to range the animal. In the event that I do need to shoot at longer distances, this system will give me more confidence than a reference point on my scope.

I'm also going to stick my Interbonds, but try out a load with the 160 Accubonds and see if the slightly heavier bullets tighten my group like the 162 SST's did last year.

Getting excited now!
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

For factory loads I shoot SilverTips. Even at 200 yards, my 7mm Rem Mag is surgical. The rounds are expensive, but not when you consider that one bullet =one critter down.

I know I should present my case with a lot more numbers, but that's all I've got. It shoots as flat (I'm tempted to say flatter) than anything I've ever shot, so I can reach out and touch anything I'm looking at, as long as it's not in the next county. It so good that I barely notice the mule-kick, because I'm busy watching the critter go down. It's great on hogs (DRT).

Those are the best factory hunting rounds I've used. Most of the other factory stuff shoots pretty well, but that pinpoint accuracy just isn't there.  Without looking, I think I have a 4 X 14 scope on mine.

Hope this helps.
