WOLVES SLAUGHTER 18 ELK IN ONE NIGHT ON WYOMING FEEDING GROUNDS. NONE ARE EATEN!

This is what happens when we are not allowed to manage. Warning very heartbreaking for our "other" wildlife.

We had 18 elk slaughtered by wolves on our feedgrounds in one night this week. 16 were calves that were not eaten at all. Killed and left for dead. The other were two pregnant cow elk. The wolves ripped the fetuses from the elk most likely from signs while they were still alive, to later die. Again they did not eat the cows. This makes nearly 70 elk slaughtered by wolves on our feedgrounds alone this winter. That doesn't include anything off the feedgrounds. We must use common sense, decency and real conversations to regulate this issue.

they'll condemn the feeding stations saying it's mans interference and that's not healthy for the Elk,  wolves are correcting mans meddling.

feeding stations need protected or done away with.   I'd like to see them protected from wolves.   Can I volunteer to provide over watch for the Elk?

Wow.  That is bad. 

I was surprised when I first learned of canines killing way more than they could eat.  It did not fit my received ideas about predators killing only what they need to eat, etc.  Coyotes will kill dozens of sheep in one night and perhaps eat the liver of one of them, maybe eat nothing.  My guess is that it is fun for the canine to chase and kill prey.   Whatever the reason, it is reality.  Disney dreamers are ignorant of reality and deal with it by denial.

Its a big mistake for hunters to anthropomorphize predation of elk by wolves...talk population level impacts - not what a horrible tragedy it is for a pregnant cow elk to be killed...those who do are playing right into the anti's hands in perpetuating their message to non-hunters.

What we need is a video of wolves ripping out elk fetus s and not eating but killing show that on king 5 news in Seattle. Better yet if someone's pet gets joy killed get that on video. Wolf huggers spotted

They wouldn't care. As long as the deaths of elk lead to an end of hunting, they're happy. The rest of the "wolves are good, m'kay" crowd are clueless as to the efforts of the anti-hunters. They'll just go along blissfully until the elk are gone and then wonder what happened.
