Its a big mistake for hunters to anthropomorphize predation of elk by wolves...talk population level impacts - not what a horrible tragedy it is for a pregnant cow elk to be killed...those who do are playing right into the anti's hands in perpetuating their message to non-hunters.

and now your suddenly the champion of reducing wolf population to help the elk?

When did this happen?   No matter I'll welcome you with open arms if you want wolves managed and elk numbers increased.

Anti hunters anyhropomorphize predators like crazy.  Its their specialty.  I wonder what the wolves names are
Exactly.  Which is why its absolutely stupid for hunters to do the same in perpetuating such a ridiculous narrative.  :bash:

I didn't see anyone naming the elk. Maybe I missed something, I see 20 elk were killed and none eaten, 16 calves, 2 cows, 2 fetuses, what that does is severely limit reproduction. It raises the questions: If those elk were killed and not eaten, how many elk have the wolves actually killed? What impact are those wolves having on the herd? I guess what you get out of the info varies from person to person! :dunno:

And how exactly is ripping the living fetus out of another animal for a thrill kill. Suppose to make people associate wolves more with people. Let's face it studies don't work how many article have been written about Yellowstone s elk. Graphic images produce results. wolf lover spotted

I would've, but hadn't seen this thread yet. This is what wolves do. I guess I don't understand the point of this thread?   :dunno:

Wolves will kill elk whether the wolves are "managed" or not. Does the fact that they sometimes kill more than they can eat mean that we should eliminate wolves entirely?

Is that the point of this thread?

I wouldn't mind talking about how to protect these feeding grounds, or should they be discontinued?

This one will get hit again and again and again until all of the Elk are dead or quit coming.  To stop feeding them might kill them, to continue to feed them will kill them.

a conundrum

It's impossible to kill every wolf humans have tried. I wish we could kill them all unfortunately it's impossible.  They are just like mosquitoes worthless disease carring devil creatures.

I'd say it's improbable...

Not impossible.

yup, kill them all!  Plenty of them in Canada and Alaska, we don't need them in the lower 48.

There are only 333 in Wyoming, it wouldn't be a problem at all to get them all in 1-2 seasons.  It has been done before with much less effective means than we have available now.

anthropomorphize-the attribution of human characteristics or behavior to a god, animal, or object

Really? As more people see the destruction that wolves are and have been causing the less wolves are liked, the same goes for state agencies like WDFW who lie and refuse to control wolves.

As far as the USFWS and WDFW's "environmental groups" lawyers who are doing their bidding, anything hunters etc. say means absolutely nothing in the process of wolf management/control. As many have already stated, wolf control will have to come from the public.

Your statement is totally ludicrous….
