WSAA 3D May 14-15 @ Silver Arrow Bowmen
« on: March 25, 2016, 04:47:09 PM »
Our club is holding the State 3D Championship this year. You dont have to be a member of the wsaa to shoot but you do to compete. We have the most challenging courses in the state with our steep up and down shots on the course. The longest shot will be 50yards per the rules.Join us for some great competition or just a day on the range. More details to follow or look up specifics on the Washington State Archery Association's web site.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Because this Event is a little different than our fun shoots The Schedule is a little different.
30 targets each day. 9am Shotgun Start with 830am Shooters meeting both days. No ranger finders allowed on the course (Normally we allow them for fun shoots but no score) I will update later what the costs are.
There is some limited dry camping. If you have a motor home or trailer we have room for those as well just touch base with Larry so that we have an idea how many are coming.

Speed limit 300 with a 3% forgiveness so I wouldn't recommend being over 309 fps.

I shot horribly as well. A little better the second day. The rules for the trad guys had some guys a little bent.  45yards on a deer sized target is a long poke and thier scores seemed to go down by about 30%.

I think the highest score for freestyle was 619out of 660 if memory serves right. The x ring is now a 12ring

I agree it was a very good shoot. I had a good day and bad day, but equipment worked well ended up in 4th. One of my boys won his division...but everyone had fun!
