My boss is looking for a guide in Eastern Wa for a hunt for two or three of us. If you are one, or know of any pm me of their info, or email me at Countrylover0013@msn.com. Thanks a lot.

My advice is to go with reputable guide, there are several...call Colville Chamber of Commerce...Sherman Creek Outfitters, Bear Paw outfitters are some of the bigger outfits...remember that in Washington State the WDFW doesn't require hunting guides to have a guide license. Check References...When I retire one day I would like to guide, I think it would be fun....we'll see. Also ask if the outfitters have a semi-guided hunt they are a little cheaper usually on private land and meals are usually provided..Price wise anywhere from $250 -650 per day meals lodging. There also was Buck Canyon Lodge in Gifford, WA http://buckcanyon.net/ Good Luck!

Keep an eye out for any upcoming NWTF banquet and look for a guided hunt in the package. You can probably get one cheaper that way than you can buying it outright.

outfitter on here is joe from sherman creek outfitters. guys have used him and speak very highly of him. he's a site sponsor.

you could check with huntnphool, and i believe craig if i remember correctly all have past experience with them.

Yes with this years economy, you might find a good deal on a donated guided hunt package.

Why do you want a guide? There's tons of turkeys. Don't wast your money, do your home work and do it yourself. $500.00 a lot of $$$$$$$

Could you give a guy some pointers on where to start doing his homework?

I've only been turkey hunting a couple of times and never seem to be able to locate them.

I only hunt state land, so maybe that isn't helping?

I'd be more then happy to take you. If you spend a day or two with me you'll be good to go.    I've been chasing and killing longbeards for nearly 31 years. I only hunted public land, I don't call a bird in everyday, but most days I do end up doing battle. When I first moved up here the birds were way too easy. They are starting to get alot more fun to hunt because they are starting to wise up. Anytime you want to go, let me know.

Slayer.....next time you talk to your buddy you might ask him to al least give some credit to the real people responsible for releasing wild trapped turkeys in the Okanogan.......a couple private lands Biologists from the WDFW Upland Wildlife's Restoration Program, who fought hard in house for several years to make the more recent releases happen. The initial releases years before were also a result of the same WDFW program. Not trying to be picky, but NWTF and responsible citizens don't have the authority to release turkeys. They did support.......enough said. Just a pet preave of mine....sorry if it offends.....but facts are facts.

I agree...the NWTF had nothing to so with the releases in the NCW area.

I guide for Joe and have taken several customers out for turkeys and that is almost as fun as calling in a big bull....its alot of fun when you get out there and have a bunch of skittish toms coming in.....Lots of fun....

Give Joe and Jodi at Sherman Creek outfitters a try....Not a 100% chance rating but you wont be disappointed....

Just remember to bring some well broken in boots and get ready to walk a long distance....Joe doesnt like to stay in one place for to long....If he aint seeing birds, hes off finding another group. We get on alot of birds....

My fear would be hooking up with the 100% guarantee, to drive across the state and be asked to blast a turkey off his driveway...

+ costs 400.00 max. all meals 3 days four nights.
2nd bird 120.00

Private property and state land.

No bird 150.00 period

two hunters this year only.
