Potholes area coyotes
« on: February 14, 2016, 12:35:13 AM »
Heading to potholes at the end of the month to do some fishing and coyote hunting. Wondering if anyone has been successful with hunting coyotes in the area. Have a fox pro and plan on doing some exploring looking for dogs. Any advice or info would be appreciated.

A lot of highly educated dogs.

Ducks are not hard to hit, they are just easy to miss.

I like hunting that area, feels good to take a smart coyotes.  I've seen them just poke there head out of the brush and scan the hillside a long time before committing, stay inside the brush line all the way around the caller and even make high speed passes of the caller and no amount of barking will stop them.  They have a tendency to wait a long time after the calling has stopped to come in and look for the sound.  Fun hunting
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Make mine a Minaska
