I have also had good luck with waterproof type box calls, especially to locate birds.  I then use a glass or slate call to try to seal the deal with soft purrs and clucks after the bird is coming my direction.

I think I need a tudor to teach me how to use a mouth call.  :dunno: Can't seem to get clucks, raspy yelps and kee kees down!  :'(

Its all in the Jaw and how one can use inflection and cadence.  Some guys have them Mick Jaggar lips and can purr till there is no tommorrow...others smoke and don't have the lung pressure to do a series of cutting..Again I know hunters that think they are cutting and they are putting...LOL.  90% of calling is calling it is what to say when..75% of the time I can tell  a hunter from a hen.  The other 25% is disbelief.  Those hens sound real good or real bad.
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!
