Youth weekend results
« on: April 03, 2016, 10:09:44 PM »
On this years youth hunt we had two kids to take hunting. One was a second year turkey hunter and the other new to the game. Normally I go to the Colockum area for the youth hunts, but this year elected to go into Stevens county. Well let's just say our two kids were blessed with a phenomenal hunt. The birds put on a show all weekend. By the end of day one they had 3 gobblers piled up. Had some unbelievable in your face action with birds gobbling and strutting their stuff. Huge numbers of Jakes running around this year. Day two I set out my strutter deke and 2 hens. And old boss Tom pitches off his roost and dumps into our setup like a Mallard. The fight was on!! Momentarily anyway, our young apprentice hunter wasted no time putting the bird on the ground. Just an incredible weekend of hunting!  :)
Gobblers only, all jakes must walk
