Never fished there, so it would be all new to me. Thanks for the heads up. PM me if you got any specific spots in mind. Not looking for any honey holes just a general spot to hit the bank and show the neighbor a good time.

Its been a few years since I've fished there, but if you drive up to the "painted rock" and drop down into the canyon, there's some great fishing to be had down there.  Never fished it for springers, but I've caught plenty of steelhead down there.

The road follows the river and there are tons of pull offs.  If springer fishing is decent, you better reserve your rock way before daylight.  And, it isn't like Barrier where you can just pile in.  The spots only hold a person or two and it wont' be taken well if you crowd in on folks too much.

Seen Steelhead at Cowlitz. One chinook banked, snagged, and released.. Approx 16-18lbs. Fricken zoo at blue creek. I counted 29 empty boat trailers an about 7 more boats on trailers. Lots of people camping down there. All you can smell is boat fuel and hear people roaring up the river every 2 minutes. Two people about to get in a fist fight as I was leaving over snagged lines.  :bash: people are so stupid.
