Your first hunt and first deer? Holy cow congrats! You must be a lucky man. I'd rather be lucky then good when it comes to hunting. With that said, you will get much faster at dressing down your deer. When I read that it took almost all day I was like whoa but then I remembered what it was like starting out. Either way, really nice animal and wilkommen!

It weighed in at 300 lbs and we were about 1.5 miles from the truck. Mostly slippery down hill from the fires. No doubt lucky. What a rush, though.
