Turkeys are quite possibly the stupidest birds on the planet.   :chuckle:

Have always thought Turkey are not that bright or well natured. They do see well for sure.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

The stupidity of turkeys is legendary. I've heard that farm-raised birds need shelter from the rain because if they don't, they look up to see where the rain's coming from and end up drowning. You guys have probably heard this story about how stupid they are but here goes.

A man was turkey hunting in VA along the James River. He'd been calling for a few hours that morning and finally got a response from a gobbler on the other side of the river. He called again and the gobbler replied and started flying across the river toward him. When the gobbler was about half way across, the hunter clucked one more time. The gobbler stopped flying to answer back, fell in the river, and drowned.

They're not smart. but can be very wary as they know everything out there wants a free turkey dinner.

I guarantee they will.  They know im not wasting money on turkey tags.  They wake me up in the morning, and i go run outside yelling at them and chase them into the timber.  Then by the time i lay back down and start nodding off theyre back at it again.  Its like some kind of sick game to them.
