Hello Rick, we meet last time you were out calling. When do you think you will go out again and can I buy one of your calls from you?

Connected with a big bear today around 1pm.. spent the last 7 hours looking for it in the thickest, nastiest, stuff I've ever tracked an animal in. It was about to head down a ridge and out of sight when i squeezed a shot off.  No blood and the only thing found was some hair where it was shot.  There was 4 of us looking and we couldn't find it, it might have ran over some blow downs and into some 7-10 year old reprod. I'll be back up there tomorrow in the same spot, checking again.   :( :dunno:

I was out there this weekend, berry's are just starting to come in nice, about another week they will be ripe in some areas.  Saw some bear scat, fresh bear prints.  I'll definitely be out there Memorial weekend.

Wishing I had some good news to share but looked for about 3 hours yesterday.. no bear  :'(  I think I got those first bear jitters and rushed the shot and pulled high. I set up a couple cams in the area and will be back tomorrow evening to check them out.  Pretty bummed right now, but i need to shake it off because there's still some hunting season left.  Good luck guys.

Did you find any blood at all? Could have been a complete miss?
