Well, spent my first weekend in Copalis with TomT and Rick.  Picked up a few bear calls and a howler from Rick and spent part of the day picking his brain and him showing me the ropes.  I didn't see any bears but got a few spots picked out for next weekend.  Can't wait to get out there again.  Thanks again TomT and Rick.

Co-worker showed me a video of a bear killed up in Copalis on the 15th. About 175-190 pounds.    I'll be up there tomorrow, white F-150, good luck fellas!

Two game wardens just stopped by camp. Some one killed a huge bar off of 6000.5 wanted to know if I killed it. Rick

Why did they stop by? Was it poached?

Nice meeting you today Bearman over on the 6006.

DuckSlayer it seems that someone shot a bear on opening day and was unable to recover it.  It was found today by a brush picker and they reported it. To bad because it was a big boar and with the warm weather it was already spoiled.   :(

Good luck Rick, I hope you call in and kill a big one. I will be over in the Coleville area this weekend with a hand full of your calls.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
