Did some catching today...kids got 12 between the 4 of them...I'll post up some more pics when I get home...seen one fish caught that was over 6lbs...it was a giant

Might be kinda weird but I have lived here in grays harbor county pretty much my whole life (and I love fishin) but I have never been to or fished Failor lake. May have to take my daughter there this year and let her try for some of those triploids.

I'll be out there again next Sat to try for a few myself...its a nice little lake for the first month of the season ....I like goin there becuase you can have a camp fire, roast hotdogs, smores, fish and relax  :tup:

Anybody know what the deal is on the gate. I drove by there the last two days and the gate is closed. I couldn't stop to look and see if it was locked, towing a trailer.

They just open it for a few hrs the sat before opener for the kids...the kids had a blast...its always fun getting the kids out fishing

Took three grandkids they all three placed in the derby and won poles and tackle boxes all the fish were in the 5 pound class only saw two 7 pounders entered.

Decided to take the day off and bring my kids to the derby this year.
Tried to do a little pre-scouting for a fishing spot, but was unable to access lake.
I usually like to walk around and have a plan before showing up in the morning.
Anybody else plan on being there?
