Wenaha spring bear
« on: April 16, 2016, 08:54:02 PM »
Anyone have a wenaha tag.? Wondering what the snow is like and how the green up is coming along. Usually mid May is go time but it has been pretty warm a few different times this spring so curious. Probably be some turkey hunters over there that can give a report....

Don't have a tag. As for snow on the Pomeroy side the son was up in the mountains yesterday and he said he turned around between Stentz Spings and Clearwater because of snow.  If it's the section of road I'm thinking of it drifts in pretty good.  Looking at the forest from near town the snow looks patchy.

Spruce Springs SnoTel says no snow since 4/20. Anyone been up lately to confirm how far Rd. 40 is open?

I came in from the Asotin side, however you cannot make it to the intersection of 41/42.  I talked to the FS on Friday and they said there's a good drift that shuts most off at Stentz Springs.

It was 35 and pouring rain Saturday where we were at.  Wow.

gotcha,  If you don't mind sharing, what is your access point and how are the roads?

Good luck on finding the one you want.  Looking for size or color?

Rds have snow probably for at least 2 to 3 more weeks. Just have to walk a ways to get in unit. It can be done.
