If I wasn't busy moving, with school, work, and side jobs, I'd love to have a weekend out with my son. I love turkey hunting almost as much as bear. One year very soon I will draw a spring bear and have a turkey tag as well. Looking forward to the next Spring I can get my arse handed to me again. Good luck to all with some turkey tags, remember patience kills turkeys.

Had one come in one year in Reardan, coyote chased it off so I shot it in the face with my 12 guage! :chuckle:, riggamortus stiff instantly. It was only about 10-12 ft away! "That's what you get for scaring off my tom!"

I'm with you guys.  I shoot every coyote that comes to my turkey call, since I figure that is a primary food source if they are actively responding to a call.  I have watched some amazing coyote behavior where they will split off and surround me, or they will lie down in a likely ambush area.  It is interesting to watch.

Other than the youth opener, I haven't been back out.  I'm looking forward to being back in the woods though before the season ends.  As far as being made to look like a fool, well, I have video evidence that I posted earlier.  :bash:
