Grandpa's old trophy
« on: April 27, 2016, 09:03:01 PM »
I spent some time at my grandpa's farm in Eastern WA this weekend and knew I needed to get some pictures of his old trophy.  This deer was shot in Idaho, long ago (I didn't get the date, but I think 30-40 years ago).  I believe it is over 30" wide at the widest and is a 9x6 plus eye guards.

jeez, don't tell my dad his deer shot 30-40 years ago are from OLD hunts  :chuckle:  He's got a couple nice mule deer shot in the 70's, but he considers those modern hunts.  Now something from the '50s...  :chuckle:

and that's a great deer!

Awesome buck

The buck he shot up Blue Creek that's just horns on a board was a masher!  The one he shot in idaho and had mounted is a nice buck, but the Blue Creek buck is better!    :chuckle:
