Well it's official got my muzzy elk tag for Utah took 16 years gonna be awesome
You and I should talk more, I have hunted it twice before both late rifle hunts. Should be a fun hunt
Congrats to all the LE draw winners. Dreaming of making before I am too old to use it. I did get my Manti general season Buck tag. Over the counter cow tag is a coming. Best two weeks of the year. Working my butt off to get in shape, those mountains kicked my tail last year.FFbowhunter: Congrats on that Buck tag. Have a great time and keep me posted on success or not.
Thanks, want some meat in the freezer!

Should be a fun hunt Late rifle hunt is a lot different than the muzzy hunt. You'll be surprised how many hunters you'll see, but most don't really get out an hunt much.(muzzy hunt in Utah is a way bigger thing than here in Wa.) Usually very warm and you'll need to take into consideration cooling your animal. I've been down there on some muzzy hunts where the daytime temperature is in the 80's. Animals still move a lot for water which is usually not a factor on the late hunt. Depending on where you go, the summertime mtn. bikers and hikers can be a real pain in the ---, nothing like sneaking up a trail and running into a dozen mtn. bikers riding down it. Lot of the roads have been converted over to ATV only the last couple of years and recommend taking one along if you have one. It's a great hunt, and sometimes just messing around we've called in 2-3 nice bulls while deer hunting-biggest bull I've seen in my life nearly ran over me down there a couple of years ago during the muzzy deer hunt.thanks for all the good info. on the La Sal.
