Private land by law is not required to be posted ... it's solely up to the hunter to know what is private and to obtain permission to hunt, etc.   Obviously some people feel that laws do not apply to them .....   :bash:

I really cannot stand this type of behavior from people, especially hunters, due to the fact it taints the name of other hunters who play by the rules.

I can promise you guys the landowner did not give him permission. I work that out every evening before I go there so the very few with permission know where the others are the next morning.
With that said I would say things are looking pretty bad for this guy.

Looking like his only defense is going to be a possible phone call to WDFW to "see if it is okay to look at a turkey in a tree."

Sorry this guy was *censored* and messing with your hunt, irritating doesn't begin to cover it.

The one thing we don't know is if he secured a lease with the landowner or some sort of a verbal agreement that the OP didn't know about.

If *censored* charges have been filed that would rule out that he had some sort of agreement.

Maybe he made a phone call to the WDFW front desk and asked them if he could look at a turkey in a tree.  They seem to be able to give permission to break the law, or at least that is what others are using as a defense.

Maybe he is the first to test the new phone in system that JDHasty was talking about using to shoot "Bullwinkle" in the other thread.

It is too bad this one individual keeps showing up in incriminating situations, not good for his business for sure.
The guy probably would have mentioned  that he had permission if he did.

He should have and Deer Slayer has come back on and said that he confirms every night who is and who is not supposed to be on the property and this guy was not on the list of those allowed on.

I like to give guys the benefit of the doubt but I am running out of options on this one.  Looks like this was a  :bdid:

Public road but private field and he walked out into the field?  What was his excuse?  Pretty hard to assume cultivated fields as public land...  Good way for him to earn a bad rep.

Some lands that are cultivated are leased lands from schools owned properties, which is totally legal to go on. It's not *censored* either, since we own it..

Photo evidence is amazing! If it were anyone else you likely couldnt do much about it... but a tv star/guide? Wowsa!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
