First Lite "Brambler" Gaiter Reviews?
« on: May 01, 2016, 10:03:45 AM »
Really curious if anybody has seen or handled these bad boys yet?

They look awesome but they are so new, I haven't heard much.

I wished all these higher end companies would quit putting exposed buckles or buckles at all on their gaiters. They're always the first thing to break. Especially if you're in rugged terrain. I've taken broke buckled off and sewed the strap permanently by hand with good luck. After you get them adjusted properly to your boots, I see no need for the adjustable buckle. :twocents:

I've been considering using my awl and some very heavy duty polyester thread to do this with my KUIU Yukon (yes I said KUIU) gaiters.  The buckles also build up a lot of mud and grass.

The Bramblers look awesome and the Cordura is tough as nails but I wonder how noisy they are in the scruffy brush and bear grass.  Depending on fit and reviews, these might be my next gaiter.

An awl would work. I used a drill and small bit on a pair of kenetreks and black diamonds.
