Looks like it had alil bit of elk genetics ? Do they cross ? BTW awesome adventure ! Awesome animal !

I remember reading information at the YO Ranch in Texas that "Red Stag" means it is a cross whereas Red Deer Stag is the pure species. Sika/Red cross would be a "Silk Stag? I was offered a hunt in Argentina some years ago and their big selling point was that the stags there were "Pure" Red Deer and claimed they were one of the few places left to find them in huntable numbers.
