Looks like I am muzzle loader hunting the east side again.

Do any of you think competition with the elk herds hurts the deer population in Kapowsin? I went for a hike yesterday and saw 40-45 elk and only 1 deer. Then 2 more deer driving out but that's it.

I think making it any Buck is going to destroy what's left of the deer population. Only saw 1 legal buck this last year. I also think Hancock could give out a few more Bull tags and not hurt the herds at all. But that's my  :twocents:

i 100% agree with both of you!   And they need predator control, I don't think it's a coincidence that since hound hunting was banned the deer population has gone down.  And they could easily give 10 permits for 3 pt or better and 5 spike tags.
