Anyone been out for spring bear?
« on: May 12, 2016, 10:23:46 AM »
Just curious if any members have been out looking for spring bears much? I hope everyone is having some luck finding some bears and taking advantage of their tags. Hoping to find one in the coming weeks. Anyone having any luck with calling now that fawns are dropping/dropped?

I shot and lost one that was found by another member a few days later.  Did three series of fawn/calf distress calls, had bears come in on two of them.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

I had a bear walk through the front yard the other day here in Issaquah. Decent sized bear with a lighter brown coat.

I've been out for 19 days total trying to get my youngest (10) on a bear. No luck yet, but we spend as much time eating ice cream and skipping rocks on the river as we do actual hunting. So it's no surprise we have not connected yet. Just enjoying being outside for now.
