gone down and bought shed lots at their auction and did some hiking and found sheds also. Great time! The coolest thing I seen at the auction was a bighorn ram head that had grown into a tree. The guy found it and cut the section out of the tree. Must of been placed there by someone and the tree had actually grown through one side of the rams horn. The skull was almost gone and the horns were very decayed and old but the coolest think I ever seen.  The guy said he was offered 15K but turned it down.  NOT ME

You can shed hunt the refuge scouts first then it opens May for everyone else

I think you can go through the Refuge to get to the National Forest to shed hunt but I don't think you can pick up sheds on the Refuge. I have seen people trying to sneak them out though. If the link below works it gives the details.
