Those are beautiful. I just got a fawn distress from him made out of birdseye maple that's pretty great too!

My 2 cents, calling is very effective for bears anytime of the year, but particularly effective in the spring during calving and fawning season.

How do you keep your reeds from sticking? Whenever I call after 20 minutes or so my call gets gummed up

I tune them for bear calling to get them raspy. Years ago I also learned from slydog Richard Gipson about flipping up the Reed to don't freeze up as much also. Have great luck with my closed reeds. Rick

good luck. i have 4 of your calls going to put them to use on my spring bear tag this weekend in the copalis looking for my first spring bear. love your calls they are top notch!
