When I was packing and guiding hunters in ID and MT,  it was my life's goal to be a brown bear guide.   You ever elk hunt Kodiak?

I've been on a few elk hunts. Some in Alaska and some in Washington.

Raspberry or Afognak?

Both. I grew up on raspberry.

For the guys questioning the meat.  I'll eat almost anything.  From my time hunting brown bears, seeing crap piles that are 50% worms and stories I've heard........ I have zero issue with not taking any of the meat and did not take any on the brown in my avatar.

Alaska has some pretty cool rules as far as non waste.  You can't kill anything to leave it lay.  Here we can shoot rock chucks (for example) for the sake of shooting them.  In Alaska you'd have to skin it out and salvage it for something.  As picky as they are about use and they don't require you to take the meat......I'm sold on no thank you.   :chuckle:
