Not much help in the muzzle loader section

So I'm gunna give the east side a shot this year for Elk season.
I'm starting to stack up my quality bull points so I want to be a little more picky.

I posted for some help in the Muzzle loader section but no one seemed to want to help.
Where are the numbers at in the blues?
I'm familiar with Dayton, but not much other than that.

I've been screwed on a deer hunt overt there buy pulling units with almost no public land, so obviously that would be a bummer.
If you had to pick units over there based on public land, quality of animals, and terrain to hunt.

Which isn't a TON but it's more than I had last year lol.

Rimrock. Steep and nasty but they are there. Not a easy hunt. Have had the quality muzzle tag twice. No kills but not because I didn't get into the Bulls.

Back when the Muzzy guys had a head start on quality tags all the Yakima hunts were great. Not so much anymore. I hear bulls still but rarely see any during the season. Find a good spot ahead of time or plan to get miles behind the gates.

I was just havin some fun. Peaches is a good unit. It's not a slam dunk but if you work for it you should be successful.

Huh.  You've posted a handful of times since October 2013, and then the day before the special tag deadline you post in the muzzy section asking for a tag strategy (you know, where all the bulls are) and gear run-down?  And nobody jumped?  That seems odd. 

I would have been happy to share the fruits of the last twenty years of blood and sweat with you, but I guess I'm too late.  Sorry.

I can't believe people start being "picky" with nine points, Look at the averages to draw a good a tag and you aren't even close, with point creep you may not get there. yes I know everyone has a chance in this state and honestly I liked our system better than most states until they split all the tags apart (money grab)and people quit burning their deer and elk points when they drew cow/doe tags. If you want to hunt a "Quality" tag more than once in your life then put in for the ones with the best odds.

It's when your odds go down each year even though your points go up.  If the pool was small enough, your draw odds would keep going up each year.  A fair number of quality elk permits now have so many people in the pool that chances go down each year even if you were top point holder.  Many quality elk permits are basically OIL now.
