29x29 is not as big as I was expecting, having the animal on an incline must really help. Looks cool that way too, thanks for the info.

IMHO, goats and sheep require a full body mounts.  Just factor in a house remodel to the cost of those hunts!    :chuckle:

My goats hair is changing color.

The older he gets the darker his hair is turning.

Not sure if this will help but might be worth reading up on.

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

:yeah:  Thank you so much for posting that Gringo31.  Looks awesome.  It's cool for me to see what a goat rug will look like.

For those that know me, it probably doesn't come as much of a surprise that I've spent a lot of time studying goat mounts.  My dream is to have a house with a hug evaluated ceiling and a huge stone fire place.  I want to build a spot into my fireplace to have a mountain goat climbing the rocks.

I think the mount really depends on what you are trying to show off about your goat.  If you have a great hide, you really can't go wrong with a full body mount as you are showing off the goat know matter how it is positioned.  But if you shoot a monster billy, you may want to position the goat head down (climbing down) as opposed to climbing up to really show off the big horns.

Ultimately for me, I'm partial to the climbing up as opposed to climbing down as it just seems more like what I see in the wild when I photograph and watch mountain goats (which I do a lot!)

Here are some mounts from Monarch Taxidermy Inc which has some of my favorite goat mounts I've found.

Another of my personal favorites that I've found online.  Just imagine them all climbing up a fireplace!
