Here are some various shorter haired goat mounts.  Personally I'd probably just go for a shoulder mount for a short haired goat.

I don't think you can go wrong on a mountain goat except I would never go shoulder mount way to cool of animail rug or full body for me

Ehh, I'll be happy for whoever gets it...particularly if it's me.  Ha, ha!  I'm hoping all the time, money and energy I've devoted over the years to fighting for our hunting rights and wildlife conservation will be chalked up as good Karma.  Fingers crossed!

As far as the mounts go I don't recall ever having seen a mountain goat rug until I thumbed through this thread.  It wouldn't be my first choice for my first goat, but it was surprisingly nice looking the way it turned out.

What a fun thread this has turned out to be. I am in the same boat, thought I knew what I wanted but looking at all the options has given me reason to reconsider. (un)fortunatly i have some time to figure it out.
