Girl was three yrs ago, boy was 2 yrs ago...Dont keep track of unguided hunts since i dont always talk to the hunters before they leave. You will see alot of deer and see many bucks while on the farm. Early archery is generally really good. I was seeing four to five shooter bucks a night before i shot mine last archery season.

Rifle hunts for 2016 are all filled. If your interested in a rifle hunt for 2017 nows the time to secure a spot. We are normally a year out for rifle hunts. Rifle hunts are first one to pay their deposits first on the list for 2017.

we DIY hunted the farm a few years back with Craig. modern firearm started Saturday and even though our hunt didn't start until Tuesday we came over that Friday to spend some time in camp and get the lay of the land. Opening day they had a disabled persons hunt and we helped recover and field dress the deer those hunters shot, That nite we got to be involved in the steak dinner they fed those hunters and it was a really cool experience. Hung around camp that Sunday and Monday and helped Craig with some chores of re baiting his feeders and some other things that helped us gain knowledge of the farm. Our hunt started Tuesday---really windy that morning and that had the deer slow to move...were still able to see a ton of does and non-legal bucks. No shot opportunities that nite or the next morning on legal bucks. Wednesday nite the flood gates opened and 3 legal bucks were killed-another was missed (that is the pic in the thread of the 5 guys and the 3 bucks...i am the 2nd dude on the left) it was a long nite of getting bucks back to camp, hanging and skinning and drinking some tasty refreshments. That next morning was way too early and at first lite i walked out of camp along the eastern edge of the farm...hadn't gone more than a couple hundred yards when i started seeing deer in the wheat fields filtering back into the surrounding draws. An hour later saw a legal whitetail but he was skylined on a ridge at less than 100 yards and from previous scouting i knew farms were down below the ridge so i let him pass. went another couple hundred yards and glassed a mature whitetail buck bedded down on a point about 500 yards from me. I quietly slipped up on him not worrying about another hunter blowing him out and finally ranged him at 223 yards. used a standing pine tree as a rest and shot him in his bed. walked up to him and saw that i had spined him so i anchored him with another shot. on the point he was bedded had he gone 10 feet in any direction he would have dropped hundreds of feet in elevation. Walked up to him and then the nerves hit....in almost 40 years of hunting washington i have never come close to killing a buck as big as the one that lay just feet in front of me. stood there for minutes just admiring him before i thought to put a hand on him...real nice buck. took some pics with my phone and was able to call Craig and tell him where i was and what had happened...he came out with the quad and after a big thank you hug had him loaded up and headed back to camp. he was full of wheat kernels and the best tasting deer i've ever ate. Best deer i have ever shot. The third guy in our party tagged out on a mulie that nite. What a trip---you literally have the hunting area to yourself. Craig and Melodie are real good people and if you are interested in a great hunt i highly reccommend them. if anyone has any more questions i can answer anything you might have. I'm sure people kill these caliber bucks every year but it was really special to someone that doesn't..Really cool also that one day Craig's mom and step-dad came to camp to see how things were going and brought us KFC from Spokane---that really broke up the beanie-weenie diet that we had been on that week ! Thanks Craig---every time i look up on the wall and see that beauty i think of the great week i had on the farm.

Hunting with YJ is a lot of fun. I've done it twice. There are lots of critters running around. Craig runs a great program that doesn't disappoint.
