Buying Animal Tags, multi season vs early or late
« on: June 30, 2016, 04:51:20 PM »
Im so very confused about the myriad of different tags available.

If i buy a multi season or try to get drawn for one, does this mean i can hunt early and late until i bag an animal?

If i buy a general season i just get to hunt early or late depending?

ive only hunted mod firearm once so im very new...

I dont quite understand the advantage or disadvantage of the two license options

information much appreciated

Multi season means you can hunt archery muzzy and modern in a gmu that is open work the dates you are hunting. You must hunt with the weapon or a lesser weapon in any season

Multi season allows you to hunt all general seasons in all weapon categories until you harvest an animal. Both early and late seasons are included so long as they are general (otc) hunts. A weapon specific tag allows you to hunt all general seasons in that weapon category, both early and late until you harvest an animal. If you draw and purchase a MS tag prior to the special permit drawings you can apply in all weapon categories for special permits but you don't get more than the allotted choices for each permit category.
