My wife and I have done some flat water kayaking in calm lakes and are wanting to purchase a couple of kayaks that are a combo recreation / touring style for lakes and rivers. We don't want junk. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated. We are in our mid 50's but act a bit younger. The recreation style on lakes that we have used are fine till we get into some wind then are very hard to keep heading in a desired direction. We do like their stability.
