Sweet buck! Mounts are a personal decision. At 16 I'd rather spend my money going hunting and building memories than getting mounts but that's me.

Yes you should mount him, I was in the exact same situation. At the time mine was 7th in the state. I mounted him with no regrets

Yes, you should. 
My son harvested a big whitetail in 2011.  We euroed him out and hung him up that way for 4 years.  This year I took him to a Taxi with another cape and am having him done.   
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
