I have had mine for I think 2 years now it's in .308 and it is one of my favorite rifles. Shots great an just a fun gun.

I have a lefty in 308. Very handy. Accuracy on par with above pictured groups. Run it suppressed for the most part. Makes a great truck, bike, ATV rifle.

9 month bump,
I picked one up in stainless a couple weeks ago. Mine came with 2 10round polymer magazines, and I purchased a separate 5 round. I Broke the barrel in and sighted in the iron sights last weekend.   This weekend I slapped on a Burris 2-7x32 scout scope with Leopold QRW low rings.    I Loaded up some 165gr Gamekings in front of a healthy dose of Varget and Headed for the hills.

Sweet setup!  If that's at 100 yards, that is reassuring, as that version is in my future.

I cheated, it was only 98 yards  :chuckle:


I had a few concerns before I bought this rifle.  Or any rifle with that short of a barrel.

Poor accuracy, I expected 2"+ groups  (I was pleasantly surprised ).   

It will blow out my eardrums.  (I took 2 shot without hearing protection and It's not any louder than my .357 mag)

It will be a Flame throwing monster.  ( I don't notice any muzzle flash with or without the flash suppressor installed.)

The Scout scope.    I was kind of weirded out by scout scopes and the Ruger comes with rings for standard scope mounting over the receiver.  But.... I really wanted something "different" and decided to give it a try.     (So far so good,  accuracy is good, target aqusition seems faster and peripheral vision is better when looking through the scout scope than a standard   Also the scope doesn't beat on my side arm when slung over my shoulder.

 
QRW rings.  I like the idea of a removable scope but was concerned with repeatability.  (I removed the scope and replaced it between 2 of the 3 shot groups pictured above, with little or no change to point of impact)
