Pheasants?

Years ago I use to hunt birds down around St John area and was very successfull and the access was great. Anybody know if they still do the access signs with the owners name on it to call for permission? Is it still worth the 4 hour drive to go and hunt there? TIA

not as many birds as was 20-30 years ago. I know several farmers who closed their land due to vandalism and shooting too many animals. mike w

Most of the feel free to hunt in junk. There are some hunting by reservation. I upland hunt the whole season, and yes there are some birds there, but each year there are less and less

Most of the feel free to hunt land is just dirt. The farmers don't really leave any cover for the birds. Kind of a joke really. As mentioned above there are birds around but not nearly the numbers of years ago. Farming practices have become too efficient so unless they care to leave cover for the birds there just isn't much left.
