Well, I live in issaquah and I'm new to hunting I have a older Mathews that I shoot fairly well but I just bought a cva optima and I want to try out muzzleloader season. I'm not looking for anybody's spot just curious if anyone else hunts this unit? Thanks Jason

Yes, I grew up in Enumclaw and hunted the unit all the time. Need to put in the time and learn the little areas that the critters hunker down in, but they are around. Start looking at ownership maps and find the public land of work the doors and make some new friends. It can be worthwhile.

I shot my first and only Washington deer in that unit.  Would of had two, but a limb on my bow had a crack in it the second year and moved shortly after that.  Since I moved, someone else is hunting the property now and its only big enough for one guy, but everything kingpin said is correct.

I'm hoping to find some public land in the area . Sounds like that might be tricky?!

There are a few apps you can utilize to find the public and huntable land around. There is some here and there. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to figure it out but it is doable and there are some nice Blacktails to be found.
