Nisqually Delta Flounder
« on: May 31, 2016, 10:10:25 PM »
Today I spent the morning with my dad and brother on the nisqually delta. It was our first attempt at flounder fishing, and we have a lot to learn, but we ended up with a few fish on the boat.

i've seen some real big slabs while pushing the boat out of the mouth of the river at low tide.  haven't really targeted them, but bet they'd be a blast on ultra light tackle.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

They are fun, and ultra light is exactly what we were using.

Nice. I was out  there today we only boated one fish. About the same area. How deep are you going. We were through the low drifting from about 25' to 6' then back out. We were using gulp 3inch curlys on a jig with little to no luck. Suggestions?

I don't know that I know enough to give suggestions yet, but we were fishing 12-8 feet of water, using jigs with small curlys, and shrimp scent.

All my squid has either been eaten or was crab bait. Any ideas where to get some?

I'm Revwrangler's brother, I'm thinking I'll give it a shot up on the Skagit Bay, and maybe Padilla as well since I actually live up in Anacortes

You may have to look inside the freezer to find them
